To The Core played an awesome gig out at Jumpin’ Jacks (fka Tommy’s) in Weber last Saturday. The crowd was feelin’ the groove and a few of them even fell into it. Hope you’re okay. One lucky couple, along with their wedding party, got to spend their first evening of dreaded … errr…I mean wedded bliss by rocking out with the greatest local band around. TTC made sure that the lifetime of love was ushered in with just the right amount of pandemonium. They’d have it no other way. As always, I arrived late. The band was in full swing and it was clear that something special was going on. I’m not quite sure how I drew that conclusion. Was it the beautifully decorated tables? Naw. Could it have been the half eaten wedding cake? Nope, don’t think so. Was it the unmistakable glow of a beautiful bride? Close, but no. Ahhhh…then it hit me. It was the finely honed crooning vocals of the sultry Dave Noren. If you haven’t seen these guys play live, I highly recommend that you do. The quad is as talented as they come. Their remarkable vocals, string and percussion work is the stuff that legendary bands are made of. But, instead of paying a big-ticket price to see them from the nose bleed section of the Xcel or Target Center, your getting free access to four hot and talented guys at a local venue. So, in essence, this band is helping to support the entertainment needs of its fellow countrymen (and women) during these troubled economic times. What a way to say “We care!” Thanks TTC! Anyway, many thanks to the bar staff at Jumpin’ Jacks. We all had a tremendous time. Best wishes to the happy newlyweds. Hope to see you all again soon!
